The Scottish and Irish Store began in 2001, designing and producing products for customers that incorporated their family name coat of arms or clan crest. From those early times, we have grown to providing our Scottish and Irish Store and The British Food Market, as well as our warehouse all in the same location at 22A-1051 Baxter Road in Ottawa, ON, to provide ease of shopping, and ensure our shelves can be re-stocked quickly.
The Scottish and Irish Store has a large selection of imported tartan goods, including kilts and accessories, blankets, and scarves. A variety of Irish sweaters, Celtic jewelry, and and a selection of British and Irish clothing.
The British Food Market is the closest you will experience to a British grocery store in Canada. Various teas, biscuits, chocolates, crisps, baking goods, condiments, canned goods, butcher meats, meat pies and English and Irish cheese.
Our goal is to promote the proud British and Irish heritage in Eastern Ontario through our involvement with community events and charities. We raise money each year for Roger Neilson Children's Hospice through our Annual Robbie Burns Supper and of course through the sales of our Ottawa Senators "Sens" tartan products.
Another mission of ours is to bring a little bit of home to those now living here in Canada. The staff at both our store locations enjoy serving our customers, who are more like guests in our stores, and talking about the great British and Irish heritage that helped make Canada the country it is today.
